Terms of Service
Last changed on 6 November 2026.
The short version
- pitupitu is an AI, not a person. It can mishear you and it can be wrong, so check what matters.
- Your coding agents do real work on your own machines, under your own accounts. You decide what they may do. Keep backups and review their work.
- You must be 18 or older, or older still where the age of majority is higher.
- pitupitu is free at the moment. We will never charge you unless you place an order yourself. What your agents use is billed by their makers, under your own accounts.
- Your work stays yours. You can leave at any time by deleting your account.
- If you are a consumer, these terms take away none of the rights the law protects.
This summary helps you read. The terms below are the contract.
1. About these terms
- 1.1pitupitu is provided by Klarluft B.V. (“we”, “us”), a Dutch company. Our details are at the end of this page.
- 1.2These terms are the contract between you and us for the pitupitu service: this website, the web app, the iPhone and Android apps, and the cloud behind them.
- 1.3You agree to them by ticking the box when you create your account. You can correct what you typed until you confirm. The contract starts when your account is created. If you do not agree, do not create an account. If your account is older than these terms, they apply from the moment you accept them when we ask you to.
- 1.4The contract is in English. Save or print this page to keep a copy. The current version is always at this address, with the date of its last change at the top. For an earlier version, write to contact@pitupitu.chat.
- 1.5How we handle personal data is explained in our privacy notice, which is a notice and not part of this contract.
- 1.6Some parts depend on who you are. You are a consumer if you use pitupitu for purposes outside your trade, business, craft or profession. If you use it for both, and the work side is not the main one, you are a consumer. You are a business user if you use it mainly for your work, as a company or as a self-employed person. If it is unclear, we treat you as a consumer. section 16 is for consumers, section 17 is for business users, and everything else is for both.
2. What pitupitu is
- 2.1You talk or type to pitupitu, the foreman. It starts coding agents on the machines you have linked, watches them, passes on your messages, and tells you when the sessions you follow finish or need you, as far as it can tell from what they show. It also keeps your conversation, your list, your reminders and your schedules.
- 2.2pitupitu does not do the coding work. Your agents do. They are other companies’ products (see section 5), and which of them work with pitupitu can change.
- 2.3To use it you need: a computer running macOS or Linux, switched on and online, with the pitupitu box agent and herdr installed (setup installs herdr for you); at least one supported coding agent on it, installed and signed in to your own account; and a current web browser, or our app on iOS 17 or later or Android 8.0 or later, with an internet connection.
- 2.4Setting up a machine adds a background service that starts when you log in, herdr’s connections to your agents, and a pitupitu skill in your agents’ skill folders. The box agent never updates itself or herdr: that happens only when you say so.
- 2.5Unless you switch it off for a machine, pitupitu reads your agents’ own session records on it, including sessions it did not start, and uses AI to summarise them. It can also see and drive sessions you opened yourself in herdr. The privacy notice says exactly what is read.
- 2.6You may use pitupitu for as long as this contract runs. We keep our rights in it. The box agent is open-source software, licensed under the Apache License 2.0, and herdr is software of others under its own licence. Those licences cover that software. These terms cover the service they connect to.
3. pitupitu is an AI, and it can be wrong
- 3.1The foreman is an AI system, not a person. Its voice is generated by a computer.
- 3.2What it tells you can be wrong, including what it says about your agents’ work. “Finished” means the agent stopped. It does not mean the work is correct.
- 3.3Do not rely on a statement of fact from pitupitu without checking it yourself. It may be false, incomplete, misleading or out of date, even when it sounds certain.
- 3.4Speech recognition makes mistakes, and pitupitu can misread what you meant. A misheard or misread instruction can reach an agent. pitupitu acts at once on a clear instruction and does not always read it back, so speak plainly. For anything hard to undo, use the buttons on the page or check the session yourself.
- 3.5What an agent shows can include text written by others, and that text can try to steer pitupitu. That is one more reason to check what it is about to do.
- 3.6pitupitu is not a source of legal, medical, financial, tax or other professional advice. Do not use it to make decisions about people’s jobs, housing, credit, insurance, health or legal position.
4. Your agents act on your machines
- 4.1Your agents run as you, on your machine, with your files, your accounts and your permissions. What they do is real. They can change or delete files, run commands, publish code, and use paid services you are signed in to.
- 4.2pitupitu starts a session when you ask it for work, when you ask something it can only find out through a session, or when a schedule you or your agent set is due. A schedule can be skipped if your machine is off, and a repeating one pauses itself after three runs nobody looked at.
- 4.3It types your instructions into the session, as you said them or rewritten in its own words, and reads what the session shows.
- 4.4When an agent stops to ask for permission, pitupitu tells you if you follow that session, and answers only on your word: you say yes to what it reads back, or you name the option yourself, or you press a button on the page. If you name an option, it presses it at once, without reading it back.
- 4.5There are two exceptions. When an agent asks whether to trust the folder it was started in, pitupitu says yes, always with the option that keeps approvals on. And it closes first-run screens such as adverts. Trusting a folder can let the agent load that folder’s own settings, so start sessions only in folders you trust. pitupitu never chooses by itself a mode that skips the agent’s approvals. If you tell it to pick such an option, it will.
- 4.6An agent keeps working while you are away, and a scheduled session runs when you may not be watching. Each one runs in the permission mode you set up for that agent, and uses your plan or your credits while it does. If that mode lets the agent act without asking, it will.
- 4.7pitupitu closes a session only when you tell it to, or when one it was starting failed to come up. Closing a session closes its whole tab in herdr, with everything running there, including sessions you opened yourself.
- 4.8It is up to you to:
- choose what each agent may do, in that agent’s own settings;
- link only machines and folders you are allowed to control, and follow your employer’s or client’s rules;
- keep backups and use version control for anything you would not want to lose;
- review the work before you rely on it, merge it, deploy it or send it to anyone.
- 4.9Whoever gets into your pitupitu account can drive your machines. Keep your sign-in and your machines secure. If you think someone else has access, use Revoke key for each machine on the machines page, which cuts it off within a minute, and write to contact@pitupitu.chat at once. Sessions already running on a machine keep running until you stop them.
5. The companies behind your agents
- 5.1Your use of each coding agent falls under your own agreement with the company that makes it, such as Anthropic, OpenAI or Google. You sign in to it yourself, through that company’s own sign-in. pitupitu does not ask for your sign-in details for those agents, does not read their sign-in files, and never signs in for you. Their usage and their charges are between you and that company.
- 5.2pitupitu does read what a session’s screen shows. So anything visible there, such as a key an agent prints or a code on a sign-in screen, reaches us and the AI model behind pitupitu, and can stay in your conversation until you clear it. Take care what you bring up on a session’s screen.
- 5.3You are responsible for keeping to those companies’ terms. They change, and some of them limit automated use, or assume ordinary use by one person. A company can limit or close your account with it, for example over heavy or unattended use. We do not say that any particular use is allowed under their terms. Check them if it matters to you. We have no say over their decisions.
- 5.4pitupitu is not made by, partnered with or endorsed by those companies. We use their names only to say what works with pitupitu and, in Anthropic’s case, whose models the foreman runs on.
6. Your account
- 6.1You must be 18 or older, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher.
- 6.2An account is for one person. Give a working email address and do not share your account.
- 6.3You may not use pitupitu from a country that is not on Anthropic’s list of supported countries, or if EU, Dutch or US sanctions forbid it.
- 6.4Public authorities at any level, and international bodies, may use pitupitu only with our written agreement first.
- 6.5If you accept these terms for a company, you confirm that you may bind it, and “you” also means that company. Each person who uses pitupitu for it has their own account.
7. Free minutes, and paid plans later
- 7.1pitupitu is free at the moment. Nothing is for sale, and we do not ask for a card.
- 7.2Voice is measured in minutes. They count while you talk and while pitupitu speaks, including what it tells you unasked.
- 7.3A new account gets 30 free minutes, to use within 30 days. One free trial per person.
- 7.4While we are early, we add more free minutes if you write to us. Those can have their own end date, and this can stop at any time.
- 7.5Free minutes are not money. They have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and end on their end date or when your account ends.
- 7.6When your minutes run out, voice stops. For now, typing keeps working, with reasonable limits to keep the service running for everyone.
- 7.7The prices on our website are what we plan to charge. They are not an offer yet. Before anything is sold, we will add the payment, cancellation, withdrawal and refund terms here. You will only ever pay if you place an order yourself. We will never move you to a paid plan by ourselves.
8. Your content
- 8.1What you say and type, your preferences, your lists, and what your machines send us stay yours.
- 8.2As between you and us, what pitupitu writes or says for you is yours too. We give you whatever rights we have in it. We do not promise it can be protected by copyright, or that it is unique: someone else may get something similar.
- 8.3You allow us to store and process your content for as long as it is needed to run pitupitu for you, keep it secure, deal with reports and misuse, and meet the law, and for no other purpose. The suppliers named in our privacy notice process it for us for those jobs. They also check and keep some of it under their own policies (see section 9 and section 11).
- 8.4To provide and support speech, you give ElevenLabs and its affiliates and subcontractors a non-exclusive right to process and use your content.
- 8.5We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not use it for advertising.
- 8.6Put in only what you have the right to use. That includes your client’s or employer’s confidential material.
- 8.7How long we keep things, and how to delete them, is in our privacy notice. For a copy of your content, write to contact@pitupitu.chat.
9. Speech
- 9.1pitupitu listens only from the moment you tap or hold the microphone button until you let go, tap again or cancel. What it hears goes to ElevenLabs as you speak, also if you then cancel, to be turned into text. ElevenLabs, its affiliates and its service providers process both the audio and the text. pitupitu does not store your audio. ElevenLabs keeps it under its own policy.
- 9.2Other people’s voices may be picked up. If that is likely, it is up to you to give any notice or get any consent the law requires. Do not use pitupitu to record people secretly.
- 9.3Do not say or type sensitive personal data, such as someone’s health, religion, politics, ethnic origin, sexual orientation or union membership, unless the law allows it. U.S. protected health information is not allowed at all.
10. Rules for using pitupitu
- 10.1You must not use pitupitu, or have an agent use it, to:
- break the law, or break the rights of others;
- create malware, or attack, probe or break into systems without the owner’s permission;
- harass, threaten, deceive or impersonate people, or create sexual content involving minors;
- identify or profile people from their voice;
- get around its safety measures, its limits or its minutes, or those of our suppliers;
- overload the service or interfere with it;
- resell it, or offer access to it or to the AI models and speech services behind it;
- use the foreman’s answers or speech, or the AI models and speech services behind them, to train or improve an AI model, or to build a product that competes with pitupitu, Anthropic or ElevenLabs. This rule is about the foreman and its speech. It is not about the code your own agents write for you, which falls under your own agreements with their makers;
- copy or take apart the cloud service, except where the law gives you that right (the box agent’s source is open, under its own licence).
- 10.2pitupitu is built on Anthropic’s models and ElevenLabs’ speech services, so you must also keep to the Anthropic Usage Policy and the ElevenLabs Prohibited Use Policy, as they change over time.
- 10.3Those policies are those companies’ own, and they change them. The list above covers what matters most. If a change matters for how you use pitupitu, we tell you by email. If you do not accept it, you can leave at no cost (section 15). We will not act against you under a new rule for something you did before we told you, unless it was also against the law.
11. Reports, and what we look at
- 11.1We do not read your conversations as a routine. We look at them only if you ask us to, if we receive a report about specific content, if we need to in order to deal with a security problem or misuse, or if the law requires it.
- 11.2We run no automated moderation of our own. A person decides any action we take against your content or your account because of what you said or did. Routine things are automatic: deleting old records as the privacy notice says, usage limits, and voice stopping when minutes run out. Anthropic and ElevenLabs run their own automated safety checks on what passes through their services.
- 11.3Anyone can report illegal content to contact@pitupitu.chat. Say why it is illegal and exactly where it is, give your name and email address (not needed if the report concerns child sexual abuse), and confirm that you believe your report is accurate and complete. We confirm that we received it, decide promptly and without bias, and tell you the outcome and how you can challenge it.
- 11.4If pitupitu says something offensive or harmful, please tell us at the same address, with the date and what it said.
- 11.5contact@pitupitu.chat is also our contact point for users and for authorities, the European Commission and the European Board for Digital Services. You can write to us in English or Dutch.
12. If we limit or close your account
- 12.1If you break these terms, we may limit or suspend your account or remove content, as far as and for as long as the breach justifies. In urgent cases we act first and tell you the same day.
- 12.2Separately from any breach, we may limit or pause part of pitupitu for you if the law or an authority requires it, or if that is needed to stop a real security threat to the service, other people or your machines, and only for as long as the need lasts.
- 12.3We may close your account if a breach is serious or repeated, if you are too young (section 6), or if sanctions forbid your use.
- 12.4We may also end this contract for a good reason, such as an account unused for 24 months or a supplier we depend on leaving us, with 60 days’ notice by email.
- 12.5Unless the law forbids it, we tell you what we did and for how long, the facts, the term or law we relied on, whether a report led to it, and how to object. You can object at contact@pitupitu.chat within six months, and a person will look at it again. You can also go to court.
13. Changes to the service
- 13.1pitupitu is young and it will change. We may change or remove features when there is a good reason: to improve it, to keep it secure, to keep up with changes in the agents, in our suppliers or in technology, to cope with more users or with its cost, or because the law requires it. You pay nothing extra because of a change.
- 13.2We tell you about changes clearly. If a change makes pitupitu more than slightly worse for you, we tell you by email at least 30 days before, or as early as we can if a security problem, a supplier or the law forces us to move faster. We say what changes, when, and that you can end the contract. If you are a consumer you can end it free of charge within 30 days of our message or of the change, whichever is later.
- 13.3Sometimes it will be down or slow. It depends on the internet, on our suppliers, and on your own machines being on. We work to keep it running and to fix problems within a reasonable time.
- 13.4If we decide to stop running pitupitu, we tell you by email at least 60 days before, if we can, and give you the chance to get a copy of your content.
14. Changes to these terms
- 14.1We may change these terms when there is a good reason: a change in the service, in the law, or in what our suppliers require of us. A change does not apply to anything that happened before it.
- 14.2We email you the new terms at least 30 days before they take effect, and say what changes. A change that is only in your favour, or that the law requires sooner, can take effect sooner.
- 14.3If you do not agree, you can delete your account before that date, at no cost. If you stay, the new terms apply from that date. For a change that takes something important from you, we ask you to accept it first.
15. Leaving
- 15.1You can end this contract at any time, without giving a reason, with Delete your account on the account page.
- 15.2That deletes your account, your minutes, your machines’ keys, the conversation, what pitupitu knows about your work, your list, reminders and notifications from our live systems at once. It cannot be undone, so ask for a copy first (section 8).
- 15.3Some things last longer: copies in our backups, until they are overwritten within 7 days; our system logs, for 30 days; what our suppliers keep under their own policies; and anything the law makes us keep.
- 15.4It does not remove software from your machines. pitupitu cuts them off within a minute, but the box agent keeps running and trying to connect until you remove it (
pitupitu uninstall, then delete the program). Sessions already running are yours to stop. - 15.5We may pass this contract to a company that takes over pitupitu. We will tell you first, and you can leave before it happens.
16. If you are a consumer
- 16.1This section applies only to consumers.
- 16.2Nothing in these terms takes away or limits the rights that the law of your country gives you as a consumer and that cannot be set aside by contract. That includes the legal guarantee that a digital service must conform to the contract, where that guarantee applies.
- 16.3We are liable to you as the law provides. These terms contain no cap on that liability.
- 16.4Together, section 2, section 3, section 4, section 5, section 13 and section 18 describe what pitupitu is and who controls what. They take no right away from you, and neither does the no-warranty text in the box agent’s licence or in Apple’s licence: we do not rely on those against consumers. If a loss was partly your own doing, for example because you kept no backup, the law may reduce what we owe.
17. If you are a business user
- 17.1This section applies only to business users. It does not apply to consumers.
- 17.2We provide pitupitu as it is and as available. We give no warranty that it is free of errors, available without interruption, or fit for a particular purpose. section 13 says what we try to do. It is not a warranty.
- 17.3We are not liable for lost profit, lost revenue, lost data or the cost of interrupted business.
- 17.4Our total liability to you is limited to the higher of €100 and the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event that caused the loss.
- 17.5You will compensate us for claims by third parties, and the reasonable costs of dealing with them, that arise from your content or from your breaking section 6 or section 10, except as far as the claim is caused by our own fault.
- 17.6If you use pitupitu to process personal data on behalf of your business or your clients, write to us first, so that we can agree what the law requires.
- 17.7Nothing in this section limits liability for our intent or conscious recklessness, or that of our management, for death or personal injury, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law, including product liability.
18. Apple, Google and ElevenLabs
- 18.1If you use the iPhone app, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement applies to that app as software, between you and us. For the service, these terms apply where the two differ. Apple and Google are not parties to these terms and are not responsible for pitupitu.
- 18.2ElevenLabs may enforce these terms directly against you, as far as they concern its services. We make this promise to ElevenLabs irrevocably and at no cost to it, for as long as we use its services. It gets no more rights than we have: your defences stay, and section 16 and section 19 apply to it as they do to us. Neither we nor you are ElevenLabs’ agent or partner, or in a joint venture with it, and you must not present yourself that way.
19. Complaints, law and courts
- 19.1If something is wrong, write to contact@pitupitu.chat. We answer complaints within 14 days. We are not a member of a dispute resolution body.
- 19.2Dutch law applies to this contract. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live.
- 19.3If you are a consumer in the European Union, Iceland, Norway or Switzerland, you can take us to court in the Netherlands or in the country where you live, and we can take you to court only in the country where you live.
- 19.4If you are a business user, the competent court in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, decides disputes.
20. The small print
- 20.1If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest stays in force.
- 20.2We reach you at the email address on your account. You reach us at the address below.
